This photo is one I took of a field. It has been straightened and levels adjustment layer to brighten and get contrast better.

Cut out the birdhouse and brought it to the grass.

Cut off the bottom of the birdhouse and put it on its own layer. Masked the roof to take off the bottom.

Had to re-light the base. used 2 layers with Render>lighting effects and masking to blend them together. The light in the grass photo was on a cloudy day so was defused.

Added doors and window and ladders (no steps here). Did alot of warp to get base to fit better, still not great but my liquify filter would not work on this poor puter.

Added color and texture with adjustment layers and blend modes.
step 7 of 7
Did some final color adjustments and added a 'person' in the window. Also added a bit of shadow.
