Draw some outlines for where the mountains are going to be.

Copy and paste the source images into the image. Delete unwanted parts with the eraser tool, and complete the outlines with a standard brush. Use a lot of different colors.

I changed the color of some of the blue from the sources, blurred some parts and shaped the mountains. Also moved the different parts a little bit.

Added some snow, some trees, and reshaped the mountains a bit.

Played around with some clouds in a seperate layer, and added some details.

Made the clouds more transparent and added some more to get a mist effect. Also used a small brush for the mountain ridges.

Worked on the part of the image that is closeby. This time left out the clouds just to see how it looks.

Put back the clouds, added some birds and sheep, and blurred some parts to match the image.
