I placed a brown overlay where the water is going to be, also added some outer glow to it.

I changed the color abit on the first water, masked, lowered opacity and changed blending mode to overlay.
step 3 of 5
I used the mask from the other water picture and pasted it on this layer, and I made it abit darker at some places. I placed this layer under the previous water layer.

This is how they look when merged together

Then I added a background picture inside the barn and put a black overlay on it to darken it.
