Trace over the line drawing on a new layer with pencil tool, begin coloring with eyes and mouth

Continue coloring. Add highlights and shadows with gradient to body to make it look less 2D.

Color hair. Add highlights on a second layer, blur and merge layer down.

Add gradient background on new layer behind others and turn off original image layer.

Add a glow in the back ground. Radial gradient on new layer with lower half deleted.

Build debris piles in near background. New layer, create line art, color, shade.

Add smofe streaming up from debris. select area, color, blur, decrease opacitiy.

Add background debris, drop shadow twice (once yellow, once red). merge down.
Add blue flames. select area color, shinrk selection, clear, warp.
