A Work in Progress: A welcome treat

step 1 of 10

Take appart the avocado using the select tool, cut and paste into a new layer. What your seeing here are 7 layers.

Create a bg using the gradient tool, smudge the colors where they meet.

Create the clouds using a dry brush, smudge them a little bit into shape.

step 4 of 10

Create a basic scene, you can change it later or add/remove stuff.

This step shows where I used the parts of the source which are in seperate layers.

Put in the colors using a standard brush.

Start with details.

Now for the real details you have to zoom in and use the smaller brushes. I use 2 pixels as smallest.

Add some objects to finish the composition. You can also do this in one of the first steps if you are sure about what you want to make.

Finish the image by looking at it over and over, see what can be better. I used the texture from the avocado on the tree, and fixed the avocado pit hes holding transforming the original pit and stamping it.
