Kaleidoscope the image

Map the kaleidscoped layer to a sphere. Because it's not square, it'll automatically form an egg shape.

Duplicate the original layer, flip it vertically, and set the layer mode to "multiply"

step 4 of 4

Create an ellipse. Feather it by 200 px. Invert. Fill with white. Dismiss selection. Set white layer to overlay.
