Hedge hog is masked here along with photo of girl used for the hair, which was masked next.

Here the girl was transformed/scaled to size I wanted as was the hair.

Here the hat takes shape by using transform/distort and scale until it was size of her head and looked like it fit down over her head.

Using adjust/color and balance, color is changed to purple.

Here the purple hat has its final changes of color and shape.

Yellow and red hedge hogs were added. Sizes and shapes were changed with transform tools (scale and distort) and colors were changed with adjust/color and balance. Some cloning was done to bristles. Final shadows were done with burn tool.
