Contest goal:

Try to think of what would be your ideal superhero... What would be his/her specialty and how will the outfit look?
In this contest, your goal is to draw this superhero and present it to others! Don't recreate existing hero's, but come up with your unique creation!
You can either draw something on paper and scan it, or draw something in a graphical program.
Drawing contests are limited to pure drawing, so any photo manipulations or special effects are not allowed.

arkncheeze: btw want confirmation on coloring, I mean in digital coloring we use some kind of effects like blur and all... And the rule for this particular contest says no photo manipulation or special effects... isn't blur kinda some sort of effect??? ( 5 years and 3524 days ago )

arkncheeze: yeah I mean coloring with pastel, crayon, marker or other material and then scanning, taking pic of it is way different from coloring in photoshop or whatever digital software... Cause there effects like blur can really ooohhmmpp up your image if used properly... ( 5 years and 3523 days ago )

kyluvlee: I agree with you, mariosilva...sbs should be used for graphics painting...there are just too many ways to cheat there using filters and such...I liked this contest, because I am an illustrator before I am a photoshop guru...this brings things to my turf and that's why I like it! kyluvlee: just thought I would throw a pointer in...for those using actual graphite or chalk...spray your pic with an aerosol hairspray to keep the unwanted smudging from the scanner to a minimum...always works for me!! ( 5 years and 3522 days ago )

tapiona: The hairspray also works with pencil drawings, it help preserves them and doesn't let them yellow much with age ( 5 years and 3518 days ago )
