i think the black hole on the cherry to the right an be a little smaller maybe a little bigger than the little stick coming out of the cherry, otherwise the texture is amazing! Reply »

Painted using various simple brushes from PS. The smudge tool was used with various shaped brushes at low strengths. Eraser, dodge and burn used too. (1 year and 26 days ago)

Ares is a major deity and a member of the Twelve Olympians, a son of Zeus and Hera. God of war, bloodlust, violence, manly courage, and civil order. He was depicted as either a mature, bearded warrior dressed in battle arms, or a nude beardless youth with helm and spear. (1 year and 312 days ago)
I drew this from memory as I did not take any photos of beer. CS3 was used for this illustration. (2 years and 238 days ago)
This was done using brush, pen, smudge tools. (1 year and 33 days ago)

This entire entry was painted with the brushes inherent to CS5. The frog, vase and background is my doing, thanks for the compliments very much appreciated from such high caliber members/artists whose works I definitely appreciate. Reply »
Cheryl Weinfurtner is an artist who's work I admire. (1 year and 299 days ago)
It's pretty difficult to achieve very high contrasts with watercolours (for apparent reasons) without making the colours very dark and dull at the same moment. The sky is indeed very good here, thou the overall feeling is a bit to the oil painting side.. but very good work overall, definitely worth watching the hi-res.. Reply »
This is beautiful, author. The sky shows amazing depth and I think it has a wonderful 'painterly' feeling. Widiar, keep in mind that this isn't actually water, nor is it oils, it's pixels. The only thing that needs tweaking is to give some depth to the cactus flowers. Great job over all!
EDIT: good fix on the flowers.

My sister does watercolor art and achieves things like this and more. It is amazing what can actually be done with this media. Reply »

Well jaescoe21, if you ask me ALL digital drawings have a certain degree of "constructing" it is the nature of the beast. Thanks for your comment, there were no brushes harmed in the creation of this work.

never enter the digital drawing contest, just because I'm so unsure of what I can use. This looks like a very well constructed entry. GL! Reply »
