HA! That's brilliant! I so don't want to hook that anytime I go fishing! LOVE IT! There is a little bit of squareness to the left bottom leg section going into the foot, and the upper left arm seems a bit long proportion wise, but those are just marginal nit picks, and don't take away from the dynamics of this, It's a great story, and a very lovely draw! WONDERFUL!
Ressiv: the two folds going horizontally is completely logical. Think about a long coat getting stuck on your pant leg as you are walking--it gets stuck at a certain point and your leg goes further back so it brings the coat up more resulting in folds. Reply »

They can't be straight on the folds above it. The folds above that are 90 degrees of the bigger folds would blend into the other folds. Well it's hard to explain in bad english :P It's just a very small suggestion anyway. Like you said it's WONDERFUL the way it is now Reply »

yes, agree with Drivenslush about the paper used. I've always liked the look of paper with fibers in it. very good complement to the colors used in the illustration. Reply »

Awesome, glad you guys like it. The paper I used was from a tanned sketchbook from Utrecht. Also the materials used were .05 mechanical art pencil (B lead), Derwent Sanguine Pencils, White charcoal, and .01 micron pen. Reply »

That's so interesting to have two entries about the same card in this contest, but the approaches are on the opposite ways, one goes to heaven and one goes to hell, what a coincidence! About this work I love everything from the composition, colors and details, especially the river of zombie. The design of the angel is awesomely cool, I always want to make an angel like that. The words don't work well for me tho, and I think because of the constraint in time you decided to use them. Very nice, and high mark from me! Reply »
