secretsather: This contest should have specified that the topings must be built with geometry, and not just a texture of a pizza, like some of us around here like to do. (you know who your are) ( 5 years and 3134 days ago )
downoffthedragon: That's not fair secretsather. If someone can create a realistic texture in photoshop or something, what's wrong with that? Of course, geometry would be better. Just vote according to your tastes!

secretsather: That's true, but what's to keep someone from taking a picture of a pizza and overlaying it on top of some generic geometry? I just think there needs to be some sort of guideline that lays out what you can and can't do. I could take any image and "wrap" it on any geometry and make it come out looking like the original image so.... you do understand what I'm talking about. ( 5 years and 3134 days ago )

downoffthedragon: And when I said create in photoshop, I meant that they actually painted and textured it in photoshop and created bump maps and specular maps etc. Not just used photoshop to cut it out. : )

secretsather: Right, I knew what you meant. We're on the same page. The only beef I have is the majority of voters are not into 3D and would just vote up the "best looking" image, so perhaps we should change the guidelines of the contest now, rather than to run into trouble down the road. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out.

1. very nice impressive composition
2. texturing is good but it is week to make it realistic, do more work on it....
3. glass is looking like Fiber Glass (front one)
4. What is there in Back one Glass is not recognizable.

tomato texture are impressive.... but the pizza base from outside is something different.
I agree. The innards of the pizza are fantastic, as is most of the rest of the scene. It kind of gets lost though on the crust and especially the cheese part on the left where it dimples out. Fix those and you'll have a serious contender!
very good detailed job, wish u could put some sss in the cheese tex and made it a little yellow and bread is a little too green. gl
