Groboto is very cool software. This came out well.

Yes, I downloaded the evaluation trial just for this contest. If you haven't seen, version 3 has crazy nice boolean modeling. It takes a lot of the tediousness of meshing your primitives together. It would make a nice base modeler, but probably still needs to end up in another software to finish.

A Little hint for you buddy, with Anonymity rules in place you need to remove that part of your description and do the same for the SBS. Otherwise this will get pulled. Regarding the work, Its very nice. I like it.

Thanks MossyB. I really liked this particular one as it's not like something I've seen before. I also like how it appears to look like a really simple image (could even pass as 8-bit) but when looking at the hi-res image you can start to see the threedee'ness.

And BTW, the color spectrum is itself a fractal.

They don't look like they have backs. The green and pink ones look flat, while the blue one looks to be only 2 sided...
Since the "black" triangles are holes, they should be showing the other sides of the pyramids.

No, it's a fractal. That patter continues (smaller circles outward) indefinitely. They're just too small to see.

I personally preferred the camera angles used in the SBS, they looked more interesting as a shape opposed to what appears to be a star shape here. GL

@Mircea - Oh, that's o.k. You're only as good as the tools you use. Generating a model in modeling software is easier than sketching it on paper, but you do it anyway. I don't limit myself when the finished product can look the same or better in less time.
