Traditional-Drawing Tutorial: How To Draw Cute Animal Sketches
The more detail you add to it these animals, the more you'll are practicing your drawing skills.

Author:
Step 1
Materials:
No 2 pencil
Kneadable erase
Tracing Tablet (or blank white paper)
Black Ink
Simple line drawings are the best to learn with when you are a beginner to drawing, they teach you lines, connecting lines, help you practice proportion, and provides the all important muscle memory practice.
If you are using a tracing tablet, we will start on the last page and work our way forward, if you have done the flower drawing lessons tutorial, you can just start on the page just before the last page you drew on. To block the previous drawings, slip a piece of white paper behind the page you will be drawing on. I will be saving textures and shading for a later tutorial.
Step 1: We are going to start by drawing a frog setting on a lily pad, he is simple to draw and will teach you more about line placement. Please draw the frog head that you see in the image.
Note: As in the Flower Drawing Lessons, we will be redrawing the previous lines on the new pages, to give you practice for muscle memory.

Step 2
Step 2:
Now we are going to start on the front legs, where they meet the head and where they will join the front feet. Please draw what you see in the image.

Step 3
Step 3:
Now we are going to draw in parts of the back legs, please draw the image you see below.

Step 4
Step 4:
Now we draw in the feet, if you notice, the back feet are much larger then the front feet, please draw what you see in the image below.

Step 5
Step 5:
We draw in his face, the lily pad and make it look as if he was sitting on the water, we do this by using the side of the pencil to draw in the water lines. Please draw what you see in the image below. Congratulations, you have now drawn a Frog and his pad!

Step 6
Step 6:
Now we are going to draw a dragon fly, I always start with the body and head, please draw the image you see below.

Step 7
Step 7:
Now its time draw in the wings, please draw what you see in the image below.

Step 8
Step 8:
We need to add the look of the second wing, his feet, his antennas and some body lines, please draw the image you see below.

Step 9
Step 9:
With the dragonfly done, we can now start on the turtle, he's a happy little guy, never has had a snapping moment in all the years I have been drawing him. ;) Please draw the image you see below.

Step 10
Step 10:
Its time now to start drawing in his shell, we don't dare leave him without of home or protection. Please draw the image you see below.

Step 11
Step 11:
Now we add in his features, the shell markings, neck and his front feet, with just a slight a bit of shading. Please draw the image below. Woot! You have just drawn a frog, a dragonfly and a turtle, well done!!! =)
Note: Line drawings are often used as guides for author designed images done in painting and even graphic arts.

Step 12
Step 12:
Now we are going to draw a small duck, please draw the image below.

Step 13
Step 13:
Now draw in the bill and the eye, repeat the image you see below.

Step 14
Step 14:
Lets finish this duck up, add his wing, his webbed feet and finish his eye. Please draw the image you see below. We really don't want him to quack at not having any feet =O

Step 15
Step 15:
Lets draw a lady bug, please start with the body and the head, please follow the image below.

Step 16
Step 16:
Draw in the wings, the antennas and the spots on the wings, follow the image guide below.

Step 19
Step 19:

Step 20
Step 20:
Puppy Love! I used to draw this dog for my boys often when they were little, they loved it for some reason and now my oldest son draws it for his children. He's becoming a family tradition, sooooo, lets get drawing. Please draw the image you see below, we start with simple circles.

Step 21
Step 21:
Using the image below as your guide, draw in his front legs, the top of his head and top of his paws.

Step 22
Step 22:
Draw in the rest of his front paws and then add his long, fluffy ears, following the drawing below.

Step 23

Step 26
Step 26:

Step 27
Step 27:
Now lets try drawing a sleeping cat, he is in his favorite spot, the rug in the middle of the floor so everyone can trip on him. Use the image below as your guide.

Step 28
Step 28:
Time to draw his body in, use image below as your guide.

Step 29
Step 29:
Finish drawing in his body.

Step 30
Step 30:
Draw in his features, use the image below as an example.

Step 31
Step 31:
Now lets draw in his rug, it can be as fancy or as plain as you want.
In this tutorial, I showed you how to draw basic frog, bee, dragonfly, turtle, duck, lady bug, puppy, butterfly and a cat. I hope that you enjoyed learning and I hope you don't hesitate to make them into your own style, making changes here and there. In drawing as with any other art, the artist sees things in individual way and their image will be different then someone else. Enjoy your time drawing, try new things, don't get frustrated when something seems to hard for you, just keep practicing until you can accomplish it with ease. You learned to walk, talk and dance, you can learn to draw. The only thing that will stop you from learning is you, yourself, and the limits you put on yourself.
