Tutorial goal:
This tutorial will explain how to make an Old Space City from a single source image in photoshop.
I will explain every part in the scene in great detail. Please watch the images in each step carefully, as most of the instructions are embedded in the step images. Don't forget to check out the HIGH RESOLUTION version of the result.

Step 1
This is the source image from Fallen Lights contest.
Download the high resolution source image: FALLEN LIGHTS SOURCE
Step 2
In this step explain you how to make the space city building from the source image.
Step 3
Finish the first building then make more buildings from the first building using transform tool.
Step 4
Make the pillar.
Step 5
Make dry grass from the source to add old look to the space city.
Step 6
In this step I will explain how I create spaceship from the source image.
Step 7
The following steps will explain the step by step process of the making of space city. First create new 12x9 inch file.
Step 8
In this step shows you how we'll make ground from the source image.
Step 9
Clouds made from filter. Add highlights and shadows to the clouds using Dodge and Burn tool.
Step 10
Now we add the clouds, and set the cloud layer behind the buildings.
Step 11
Continue to add more clouds.
Step 12
Now set the other buildings. Duplicate the building and set it.
Step 13
Now add spaceships.
Step 14
This step will explain how to make mountains from scratch.
Step 15
Now this is the final stage. Flatten all layers then use Dodge and Burn tool to add highlights and shadows to the final image. See the details below the image.
Step 16
Final color correction.
