Bryce Tutorial: How to Make an Iceberg and a COOL Text
Also we will be making a word/text called "COOL" in the water.
We will be making a few color adjustments in photoshop cs2.

Step 1
Open Bryce 5.5.
When we open Bryce a default document opens up
WATER
Now click create option.
Click the water icon present on the left corner of the document.
The water plane is highlighted in red.

Step 2
The water plane is highlighted in red.
Beside it, you see 7 small options.
Click M
We now enter the water materials lab
The colors beside the diffuse, ambient, specular, specular halo, transparent, volume options can be changed. This is done by clicking the small circle beside the respective options.
By clicking , we get colors palette and we can select the colors of our choice.
Also beside the small arrow ,
Select psychedelic > yellowstrips
Now click the tick mark to return to the main bryce layout

Step 3
Now In the upper left corner there is a create button
You will find a little arrow beside it.
Click this arrow.
Now you will have the objects menu displayed.
You will find many options like
Boolean objects, Imported objects, mountains, paths, rocks, terrains and vegetations, trees, tutorial, vegetation showing
Click the mountains option.
Select iceberg terrain

Step 4
In the same way create another iceberg terrain.

Step 5
Click M .
When we click M,
we enter the materials lab for the selected object
The options for the terrain are shown.
Select Turbulent > Iceberg
Click the tickmark.
In general, Bryce has many options. You can select any of them to create your own image.
In our image, The texture used for the terrain is basic > waves2

Step 6
Click the sky and fog option which is at the top.
There are many images displayed below the sky and fog option
Now below the first image, there is a small arrow.
Click the arrow .
We see options like soft sky, darker sky, custom sky and atmosphere off
I select the soft sky option.
In the Sky and fog options, the 2nd image indicates the shadows .
Below this image we see a small color palette.
Here in my image i select a light green
In the sky and fog options ,
the 3rd image indicates fog
Similarly ,
click the color below the 3rd image. I select a blue shade.
In the sky and fog options ,
the 4th image indicates haze .
Similarly select the color indicated.
In the sky and fog options ,
the 5th image indicates cloud height
We click and drag this 5th image to adjust the cloud height. As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail , which is in the corner of the bryce layout
In the sky and fog options ,
the 6th image indicates Cloud cover .
We click and drag this 6th image to adjust the cloud cover
As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail , which is in the corner of the bryce layout
In the sky and fog options ,
the 7th image indicates clouds. We click and drag this 7th image to adjust the clouds
As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail.

Step 7
Go to Objects > sky lab
This is how the sky lab looks now after setting all your sky and fog options.

Step 8
Click Create > Terrains&Objects
Select C
Now click the tick mark

Step 9
C created

Step 10
create torus

Step 11
Similarly create torus 2

Step 12
Create cylinder.
Now our COOL text/word is ready :)

Step 13
Select the COOL word and click M to enter the materials lab.
Beside the thumbnail image in the material lab, there is a small arrow.
Click this arrow
Here we see options like buildings, city maps, flooring, painted, walls
Select Buildings > Office building at night
Click the tick mark.

Step 14
Now in the main bryce layout, click render button . ( highlighted in red)
Rendering takes some time.
After the render is complete save your work.
Now go to file> save image as
Save your image to your folder

Step 15
Now open this saved image in photoshop .
Now apply Hue/saturation
values are
Hue = -4
Saturation= +14

Step 16
Apply Color balance
Midtones Values are +64 +16 -22

Step 17
Color balance
Shadows: +31 -4 -5

Step 18
Color balance
Highlights: +22 -2 +18

Step 19
Apply Brightness/contrast : +6 +12

Step 20
Apply levels
Input levels: 33 0.93 233
Output levels: 0 255

Step 21
