Open Bryce 5.5.
When we open Bryce a default document opens up as shown.
In this document itself we start creating our
landscape .
Now In the upper left corner there is a create button
You will find a little arrow beside it.
Click this arrow.
Now you will have the objects menu displayed.
You will find many options like
Boolean objects, Imported objects, mountains, paths, rocks, terrains and vegetations, trees, tutorial, vegetation showing
Since we want to create a mountain( in bryce its terrain ), click the Terrains and Objects option.
Now click the little lakes image .
I have indicated this image with a small blue arrow
Afetr clicking the little lakes image we get a mountain/terrain
In this image the terrain is highlighted in red .
We can free transform it accordingly.
There is a small dot which i have shown in blue. When we click this dot we can free transform
the selected object.
Here we free transform the terrain .
In step 3 image , in the top right corner , we see 7 small options for the selected image .
We now click the 5th option counting from top to bottom.
Here the 5th option is indicated by M .
Click M .
When we click M,
we enter the materials lab for the selected object
The options for the terrain are shown.
In general, Bryce has many options. You can select any of them to create your own image.
In our image,The texture used for the terrain is
Swirlwave
There is a small arrow. Click the arrow and we find many options. Here I used basic option Swirlwave
In the previous step click the tick mark at the bottom.
Now we come back to our main image.
Now I will show you how to make the sky .
Click the sky and fog option which is at the top.
There are many images displayed below the sky and fog option
Now below the first image, there is a small arrow.
Click the arrow .
We see options like soft sky, darker sky, custom sky and atmosphere off
I select the soft sky option.
In the Sky and fog options, the 2nd image indicates the shadows .
Below this image we see a small color palette.
I have shown it by a blue arrow.
when we click the color , a color palette appears and we are free to select any color.
Here in my image i select dark green
In the sky and fog options ,
the 3rd image indicates
fog
Similarly as in the previous step,
click the color below the 3rd image
to open up the color palette. I have indicated by a blue arrow
I select light blue color .
In the sky and fog options ,
the 4th image indicates haze
Similarly as in the previous step,
click the color below the 4th image to open up the color palette. I have indicated by a blue arrow.
Select dark blue color
In the sky and fog options ,
the 5th image indicates cloud height
We click and drag this 5th image to adjust the cloud height
As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail , which is in the corner of the bryce layout
In the sky and fog options ,
the 6th image indicates Cloud cover .
As in the previous step, We click and drag this 6th image to adjust the cloud cover
As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail , which is in the corner of the bryce layout
In the sky and fog options ,
the 7th image indicates clouds
As in the previous step, We click and drag this 7th image to adjust the clouds
As you adjust we can see the changes in the thumbnail , which is in the corner of the bryce layout
In the sky and fog options ,
Beside the moon image there is a small arrow , click this arrow .
You see options like auto update, link sun to view, stratus clouds, cumulus clouds, spherical, reset sky and sky lab...
I select the stratus clouds and cumulus clouds
Now In the
upper left corner there is a create button
You will find a little arrow beside it.
Click this arrow.
Now you will have the objects menu displayed.
In the
Booleans and objects menu, select the space ship image I have shown it by a blue arrow.
click the tick mark. I have rounded the tick mark. click it
Now you have the spaceship. You can free transform it like i said before in step 3.
The space ship is highlighted in red
Beside it, you see 7 small options.
In bryce whenever u select an object, we see 7 small options beside it.
We now click the 5th option counting from top to bottom.
Here the 5th option is indicated by M .
Click M
We now enter the materials lab of the space ship
Beside the thumbnail image in the material lab, there is a small arrow.
Click this arrow
Here we see options like buildings, city maps, flooring, painted, walls
Select city maps
Select organic city maps shown by blue arrow
Click the tick mark of the organic city maps menu.
Now click the tick mark of the main materials lab menu to return to our bryce layout.
Now we create water
Now click create option
click the water shown by a blue arrow
we get a water plane highlighted in red
The water plane is highlighted in red.
Beside it, you see 7 small options.
Click M
We now enter the water materials lab
the colors beside the diffuse, ambient, specular, specular halo, transparent, volume options can be changed. This is done by clicking the small circle beside the respective options.
By clicking , we get colors palette and we can select the colors of our choice.
I have shown the colors selected by me highlighted by a blue box
Also beside the small arrow ,
I select clouds > galaxy
Also select clouds > lowsmog
Now click the tick mark to return to the main bryce layout
Now in the main bryce layout, click render button shown by a small blue arrow
Rendering takes some time.
After the render is complete, we get this image
Now go to file > save
Now go to file > save image as
Save your image to your folder
Now open this saved image in photoshop
Now apply Hue/saturation
values are Hue = -42
Saturation = +26
and
lightness = 0
now apply levels
values are : 4 0.92 184
now apply curves
This the final image.
