The image seems a little too dark IMHO. Maybe a soft light inside the windows would make the cottage more recognizable. You have a slight glow around the lantern but no light emanates from the fire which would be casting light on the gnome and the ground around it. It's a cute idea, a few tweaks would make it even better.
