You really shouldn't think that way. How you perceive your own work is rarely how others see it. A good entry should inspire not intimidate you. I've seen other members (myself included) hesitate to post their entries thinking their work wasn't as good as what was already entered in a contest but when they do enter they place higher than they expected often ahead of the entry that caused them to doubt. I've been doing this a long time yet I'm still often surprised by the outcome of many contests. No matter how you place in a contest you still earn talent points and any constructive criticism will help you to learn and grow as an artist, you won't get that if you don't enter and show your efforts. Winning isn't everything but if you have a defeatists attitude you lose before you even try.

Have to say that this is my favorite. I didn't enter this one and this effort makes me glad I didn't upload what I had. Nice work.

Quite frankly this is astounding work. The initial visual impact, the fear it instills, the naturalness (I have looked hard for marginal telltale signs...nothing there, brilliant work). Top of the class.

Just saw a documentary on Netflix called Abstract, started with Niemand, and then I saw this image with drops.. and a taxi..cover of the New Yorker..
So now I get it .

A great way to make water drops is to get background of the drop on a single layer, select that area and then filter > distort > pinch it. Add some dodge and burn and you're basically done.
