The Oscar was originally designed in 1928. The trophy was a knight holding a sword rendered in art-deco style The trophy was offically named "Oscar" in 1939. No one is sure as to how it was named. According to Wikipedia, three popular theories are:
1. Bette Davis's first husband Oscar Nelson.
2. Motion Picture Academy's Excecutive secretary Margaret Herrick cousin Oscar Pierce.
3. For famous Irish playwrite Oscar Wilde. (5 years and 2056 days ago)
And the Lodd is handed over to... Young lady from the first row! Congrats!
Used some basic stuff to do this entry like cut out and color balance plus some chrome, Threshold, desaturation and layer effects. Hope you like it 8-)

Do you think a small soft blur brush around the sharp edge of the head might be helpful in the realism? When something is masked without a soft feather, you get a really sharp edge that looks a bit "Cut" out. But that could me, great thinking all round... GOOD LUCK
Thanks Drivenslush, the outline does seem a little sharp. I corrected selecting, contracting selection 2 px, feather 1 px, inverse then delete, seems a little less sharp.
