I took this photo of my hands using the 20-second timer function on my camera. I chose to use blue buttons because I wanted it to look like it was raining buttons. (5 years and 849 days ago)

I really like the ingenuity behind this posting. It is well thought out and you have sharpness as well as blur showing movement. It is raining buttons...s l o w l y .... not quite downpour but a shower nonetheless.
Colour affects us carbon based bipeds and the blue signifies a cool shower maybe even intermingled with snow (big smile). There is a significant shadow behind hand on our L side and I have a feeling that a more cohesive and seamless black background would have strengthened this image. I do like it a lot and it made me smile.

Nice shot, it's a Pied Butcherbird though not a Magpie

author says:

Thanks Megan. I still get mixed up between those birds since they both have black and white markings. I will fix my title.

I love their song, and the magpie's song as well.

author says:

You must be an avid bird watcher if you can tell them apart by their songs. I should pay more attention to these things.

LOL... I have the Magpie song as my ringtone on my mobile, and a kookaburra as my text tone. It's great when I'm out in a shopping centre or somewhere and my phone goes off, I always know it is mine...

author says:

Well at least I can tell a kookaburra by its laugh.
A laughing kookaburra always makes people smile.
It must attract a bit of attention in the supermarket?

It does a bit.
