I have looked hard at your margins to see if you have bleeding of other colours, and not a drop! Good work, and a lot of it. I am also drawn to the faces staring out in dead white and how nicely this image looks with the blue frame.

I usually think of this technique as highlighting something within the picture. You have taken this to an unexpected level by essentially creating a frame using the color. Most effective!
