For matching colors I used an adjustment layer `color balance´ for each object. I set highlights and shadows with `exposure´ adjustment layers.
step 3 of 3
I added some light coming from the horizon with a bright and soft brush and set the layer mode to `negative multiply´ and lowered the opacity of this layer. I added darker areas in the front and the background with a dark red jitter brush and softened it with `gaussian blur´.
