In this relatively simple tutorial we will transform (actually redraw) an old 50 cent coin into a custom jeweled coin. It basically involves tracing intricate selections over the original image, using the pen tool and the lasso tool, to create shapes. These shapes are then texturized & beveled. To top it off we make a basic reflection and shadow. It should be noted that the chrome and brushed brass textures are part of Alien Skin's Eye Candy plug-ins for Photoshop.
