If the light source was a litle bit more to the right you would have achieved "Rembrant lighting" technique (the shadow of your nose would have create a triangle of light under your eye).

Highlights are blown out.
Maybe using a higher aperture number (so the egg on the left is in focus too),diffusing the light with a sheet or something or using different light metering would improve the result.

I believe that if you where waiting just a litle bit more ( to include the Boys foot) this would be even better.

I'm only in photography contests but when i saw this...wow!!!
The texture of the wall & the light creates a fantastic mood.
The webs all over the place strengthen the domination of the spiders in the room!
Even the blown out window adds to the feeling.
I don't know nothing about Photoshop technical details but i really love this.

My condolence for the tragedy in Cyprus.

Some small mistakes here (imho).
The table is the same color with the tray.That makes it very flat (there is nothing to make the tray "pop up" from the table.
The lines (from the table) should be in an other direction (diagonal) from the tray so there is a contrast between them.
Framing could be better (you should include the whole tray,maybe with a wider frame or angle).
Off course all this is just my opinion & sorry if i am hard on you!

Since you came up with this idea you should spend more time with the composition.It's good if your photo has a story to say to us (the viewer).All so it seams to me that there is some motion blur (correct me if i am wrong).Light & textures on the back ground are nice!

Nice use of light (you manage to capture the texture of the metal surface with out hot spots) & a nice framing too (the diagonal line adds a lot,separating the frame in two & curves vs lines makes a good combination).Deep DOF (a high f number was used i guess) so all of the details are clearly visible.

Nice colors.In September I'll visit London for 5 days so I will take some photos of this.

Since this is a set up (composition) you could try to "arrange" your items a little bit better.
The red background does NOT help the red wine on your glass to show properly.
You should use a white background.
All so the shallow DOF (depth of field) makes the viewer focus on the cheese & not on both of the items.You could use a higher f number to have the maximum DOF.
A wider frame so you could include more of the dish & cheese would be good (it's tooo tight the way it is now).

Signature of your name on your entry is not allowed.It's all about giving out anonymity issue!
A very nice portrait with warm/natural colors (as far i can see from this size,it would be nice to check the "high-resolution box when uploading your entry,so we can judge your work closely).
I personally would love the model to have an eye contact with the camera/viewer but that's just be me.

To break the rules you must first master them.

Very nice minimalistic entry.
If i where you i would place the cable in one of the 4 corners of the frame so it works like a leading line to the light source.Diagonal lines add depth to the photo.The way it is now it tooo centered but still a nice entry!!!

I heard this one before...
That your sensor can burn with a long exposure.
I shot a 30 min exposure at f:6 (3 shots) but nothing happened.
Is that a "photo legend" or is it possible?
This 8 mm lens are great author.I must have one!!!

The frame into a frame idea is very nice but i think that the boy it too much centered.

The quality of blacks in film is absolute.

I haven't vote yet so i don't know who are you author but i must say that this MUST win no matter what.Perfect work & a favorite (i don't fav very often but this is a photo i got to have in my favorites).

Lighting needs a little more work so the key & the padlock reveals correctly.
You should lift a little more your light sources so the light falls over the key
(not only on the side).That way you will still have a beautiful light outline on your key (as you have now) but you 'll have more detail on the rest of the key & padlock).
All so the padlock is toooo small comparing to the key.
Over all this is a good photo.
