Your black muslin cloth is full of 'dandruff' and is disturbing to see and takes away from the beauty of the hibiscus.

This is one of my most favourite poems ever. The other poem that I LOVE LOVE LOVE is by Thomas Hardy and I put it up for you. Love your photo and that tile is the icing on a well baked cake.

The Man He Killed
BY THOMAS HARDY
"Had he and I but met
By some old ancient inn,
We should have sat us down to wet
Right many a nipperkin!

"But ranged as infantry,
And staring face to face,
I shot at him as he at me,
And killed him in his place.

"I shot him dead because —
Because he was my foe,
Just so: my foe of course he was;
That's clear enough; although

"He thought he'd 'list, perhaps,
Off-hand like — just as I —
Was out of work — had sold his traps —
No other reason why.

"Yes; quaint and curious war is!
You shoot a fellow down
You'd treat if met where any bar is,
Or help to half-a-crown."

Nicely done with focus straight on the chocolate bar, won't write you a great speech, suffice it to say good story.

Thoughtful pose and that blur vignette is exactly what the doctor ordered to keep us looking longer. The eyes over your shoulder adds a creepy kind of flavour (and that is a good thing).

A bit of a different take on the rule of threes and it works! Your title also helps to steer us in the right direction as does your vantage point.

I like the artistic bend to this upload, the grunge adds texture to the mystery and your title ties this into a great little package for the viewer.

I really like the "artistic" bend in this upload. The grunge effect is consistent throughout and makes for a rich and vibrant post with some darkening at the borders yet hue is bright on the broom. This is a photograph that was worked on and not just snapped. The "angry" looking reds are the anchor point that holds us to your photo and placed into the grid line is perfect. Some may mention how the handle may take the eye out of the frame but I would argue that the grunge and textural quality, the simple yet strong solid framing gives us a standout shot. I do think you need to sign this, matte it and frame it!

Try making a copy of the section and placing it on a new layer. Then blur it so the spot disappears and merge it back with the original layer.

The spot is between them, just over their heads. It might not be dust, it might be something else, but there is definitely a spot!

Nice pic. I would have cropped the right side because of the branches in the corner, then cropped a bit of the sky also to balance and to tighten the focus on the trees.
And you have a dust spot between the mum and dad trees, you should erase it. I won't tell.

Do you remember, years ago a painting sold for a couple of million dollars? It was an abstract and was drawn by a gorilla? Hmmm, I'm not sure where I'm going with this...I think this could sell for a few million Euros and hung proudly in some CEO's office! I like it and for some reason, it reminds me of yogurt with fruit (strawberries and blackberries) ...!

Bread & Honey
avatar still26
still26 says:

Hi and thank you for the comparison. Here are my two cents worth, (not that you asked for it, sorry). The honey makes the image busier, more things to take away from the focus, which is supposed to be the bread and thereby it ought to be in sharp focus which the SBS is. We photographers do get emotionally attached to our images and obviously, the honey gives you an emotive pull, but for us peons looking at the image the honey just adds clutter. You do have the pomegranate and cup of tea in the SBS to plump out the story, and most importantly the bread is sharp. Anyhow, this is simply my subjective opinion only and perhaps you might be surprised by the final outcome to see how right you were and how wrong I was...

A story that speaks of love of bread and all the accoutrements that go with bread eating. Had the bread been in better focus it would have jumped out at us more but we do get the story.

I echo the comments of the others. A great shot - well spotted. Would the shot have been better with less black below the cycle - as much black building as there is sky to balance the shot? Maybe but then it works well as it is.
