I think you did a pretty good job here in this piece. The stitching is good, and the shadows are accurate. I don't see a problem with the hair. I think maybe a little more white out on the skin or perhaps the blur tool on the skin to make it a little more "fake" with really bright highlights to make it seem more a little more "porcelain." Great job though.

Ouch ! This looks too real. Great job on the stitching, I think your shadows make it pop. Only thing you might try is to make the twine and needle shadow the same darkness as the face shadow under the scarf. Very nice blending too. Glad to see the stray hair removed also. All the red makes the blue eye just jump out to the viewer.
