very nice work. highlight is too much(loosing sharpness a bit). correct it

author says:

Thank you for tips. Corrected it! And sorry for the rushed SBS but I really really have to run to work! Hope you like this!

I really like this image, but i have a couple of things to say. The fish seems really quite bright, which is good because it draws attention to the subject, but then the floor is completely black, so in my opinion it needs to be a little brighter. That's just me though, but good luck anyways!!

Not bad, maybe you'd like to give a bit more saturation to the creature in front so it fits better in the image. Good luck!

I created the jellyfish thing in Photoshop using a line from a brush tool, warp tool, liquify and Gaussian blur and a circle marque tool.

The background image is downloaded.

SBS will come soon. :) (5 years and 3599 days ago)

nice job

avatar wazowski
wazowski says:

Certainly not bad, but for some reason I like the jellyfish in step 7 more. Like it's more mystical there, also seems to fit better with the background. Maybe it's just me. Maybe if you give it some transparency it'll interact better with the mermaid. Good luck!

avatar helenm
helenm says:

wazowski, I agree. I like the step 7 one better as well.

sweet. do you have the image without the jelly? the lady looks like my girlfriend but she's afraid of jellyfish. it would look great in a backlit frame, chipsullivan@hotmail.com, thanks

This is my first attempt at recreating a realistic underwater scene. I want to thank the author of this tutorial http://www.alfoart.com/the_sunken_ship_1.html for my inspiration on this image.

I notified the source authors and received permission. I have the emails from them if needed.

Thanks to Abcdz2000, Lusi, Irinasan, and Manolo for their source images. Thanks to Cornelia for the contest source.

Hope you like it! (5 years and 3604 days ago)
