Years ago I had the good fortune to be involved with the graphics and production of advertising materials for a rowing shell manufacturer. One of the owners taught me how to row, then I taught others, and even sold a few shells to fellow enthusiasts. A fantastic sport, and I miss it every time I see calm water. I think the dog would look a bit more integrated if the main layer is also motion blurred. I still see more blur in the hands of the pilot than in the ears of the dog. I really love the concept! Good luck!

Oh CMYK (don't you ever sleep???) His legs are the same as in the original.....OR.....do you mean he should have THREE? 
Ummm...well, I only see one leg and one arm...but maybe it's the Special Olympics?
(But what do I know? I thought curling was what women did with straight hair!).

I see two legs, but the curler seems too flat to me with a perspective that doesn't match that of the curling pitch (or whatever the proper term is). Conceptually, wouldn't the notion of 'ancient sport' be better served by making the background look like it's part of the bas-relief antiquity that the ancient curler is from?
CMYK46 -definatly two legs - keeping them close together though 'cos he's only wearing that teeny weeny loincloth. DanLundberg - well I just had this idea of putting him there as the pose was quite similar. All comments appreciated of course, thanks!

Nice job in rebuilding the car! Maybe you could try to work a little on the front lights. Right now they don't look like they belong to that car. Maybe a little dodge and burn could help, but I'm not sure. Good luck!

Motion blur shouldn't be in front of the moving object, it's like a trailing thing. Nice work on the reflection.
Thank you for your comment, Bob! Generally speaking, yes, but in this case, the head and entire torso go back and forth. These craft have sliding seats, the rower pushes with his feet and pulls the oars, and the seat rolls on tracks. Watch the bodies here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekbW5rkMrpQ
And we don't see any sign of motion blur in either direction.
The video was to illustrate the fact that the rower does indeed move back and forth. For this still image, I chose to illustrate the motion with blurs. Good observation, though.

Thank you, Donatella - the shoes are easily stored just ahead of the footrests, sometimes rowing barefoot is preferred...the leash just added a spot of red and more of a sense of motion.

The dog's right foot is hidden inside the boat, but the left foot I've got showing - and moving, he's happy! Check out the video posted above to see the position of the feet.
