Thank you! Indeed in high resolution you will see that there are a soft outline. The base of the beacon is dark so lower to the ground (as is the horse to the rider) not that much light.

The rider wouldn't be backlit in shadow areas. Try to blur the lit edges.

Can I try criticize ? Because I'm probably not the best there is but I could probably help you out. If you notice , the original pic with the bird..you see the light falls from behind the bird. The light on the statue falls in front of the bird. So it seems a bit unrealistic. Also I think the bird is a bit...too big . Don't you think?
