Hmmmmmm Cake!

A choco cake with whipped cream and caramel sauce... Nice!

Really like the idea of re-imagining rust as caramel dripping over chocolate cake, but I don't think the caramel is quite realistic enough for such a close-up viewpoint. Also, I feel the whipped cream is weak and possibly unnecessary.

pretty good but i think the shadow should go behind mr. rusty and that you should lower it's opacity

Agree with elficho also think about softening your edges along with putting a shadow below the blue bin.

I would just loose the shadow altogether. It seems the reflection is plenty. I'll wait until I make my vote.

Its OK, but come on, somebody did something very similar already and inhaliated any competition for this idea.

I think you should remove the shadow completely. Highly reflective surfaces that show reflections don't show strong shadows like that. The reflection alone will ground the subject and it would look much cleaner that way.
It's not unusual to have an idea similar to another entry as long as it's your own concept and you don't rip off another entry. A defeatist attitude won't help you to win anything just do your best and let the votes decide.

Well done. Looks believable. It will look even better when you would blur the shadow. It now is, too sharp compared to the other parts of the image.
