I chose to use only the source image. Mostly, selection feather, copy, paste,and layer masks, transform, warp, clone brush, burn and dodge I think that was everything- layer adjustments maybe,

Very nicely created, convincing remains of a dragon
there are a couple of straight lines you might want to look at, one is on the dragons nose and the other a small vertical line just to the right of his nose.
