The African Jacana (Actophilornis africana) is a jacana. The jacanas are a group of waders in the family Jacanidae, which are identifiable by their huge feet and claws which enable them to walk on floating vegetation in shallow lakes, their preferred habitat. They are found worldwide within the tropical zone. For the origin and pronunciation of the name, see jacana. Taken from Wikipedia.

Look at those BIG FEET... there's a bird called the purple gallinule (it's really more blue in my eyes) that walks the lily pads here in the Glades and looks a lot like this guy very cute work

Probably it is from the same family..looks weird isn't it?, Thanks for comment Driven.

Good job, cute bird indeed. I only have one constructive remark to make.. would have loved it even more if the transition "new body - to - old legs" would have been smoother and/or if the legs would have been placed a bit more to the front. Other than that, interresting approach . Keep up the good work !

Hi Cassar: thanks for your constructive comment, your idea sounds interesting, I moved the legs a little to the front, as for them being old legs, well, they are from the original source. I also made the transition from new body to old legs smoother.
