nice work you need to add shadows to blend imo

avatar jadedink
jadedink says:

i agree with nisha. i like you concept, definitely, but just a few little things i might add... bringing some of the brick texture up onto the face to blend it in better...some shadows and stuff...and then, also, blur the horizon so it gives it more depth. also..and not to be picky, but just trying to help... i think the yellow of the stones going into the water is too bright. perhaps lower the saturation so it blends better with the image as a whole.

author says:

Thanks for the comments, I tried to fix must or you suggestions - the bricks on the face are still stumping me though...

avatar DanLundberg

You've done a lot of cool work here which would be easier to appreciate if you included an SBS. I'm not sure I agree with the relative simplicity of the foreground/midground against the complexity of the background. The perfectly horizontal panels in the door are at odds with the tilted horizon in the background.

I have to agree with most of whats been said, great concept but a little more work on the blending factors.... best of luck

Home Grown Insanity - created by Drivenslush

There was an insane asylum near my college and it had Sunny in the title, I used to watch a woman who's head would pop up and down in one of the barred windows and she would crack me up. I found out from my roommate who had worked there that she was well into her 50's even though she looked like a little girl. Her favorite thing to do was to jump up and down on her bed to look out the window.

When she was caught, they would punish her by taking away her catalogs. (One of her peculiar habits was to look through the various catalogs and dream of what she would buy and how much it would cost.) Sigh. My roommate said she would cry and cry when they took away her catalogs.

That's quite a story! Love the mobile unit in the driveway - no real front or back, how appropriate.

Please, don't ask me why the door has no handle. This is a house which could be opened only from the inside.

Eye candy to me. This is image is ssssoooo good for the eyes. Upon closer look, author...perhaps you could soften the edge of the roof of the house...where it meets the background. It just looks kinda harsh/hard. But that's it...a small little suggestion for a huge, wonderful image!!!

Lovely image and great concept ... your work is alway unique ... I do agree with pixelkid about the roof ... unfortunately it was the first thing I noticed in high res ... but it is still a wonderful creation!

Sorry I am so late with the comment. I know it is not much use after when you cannot change anything but if you ever decide to print it or something it will help?
