First i used soft brushes to free the turtle, then a marquee to finish off.
After that i brought in two source images, a moon and clouds.
I cut out a piece from the cloud marquee, enlargened it and softened it up. Then i added detail with other brushes, mostly experimental and random.
I adjusted brightness and contrast and placed the moon in the corner.
I got picture of a tree outside my house, then i painted over it with one color. After that i used Burn and Sponge to add a little 3d, then i used Dodge to add the odd 3d lighting, which i think works with the odd scene.
Finally i added the roots, burned and sponged them as well, used a dark gradient background, added a light, painted an eye on the turtle and added a final light. (5 years and 3243 days ago)
