The shadows on the road are odd. Conflicting light sources.

You could;ve worked a bit more on masking out the leaves on the left, but still, a very nice image. Good luck.

Liek the idea -- the letters appear to be a bit floating as oppoaed to being on the ball and the perspective of them on the ball seems a bit off (IMHO)

avatar OliviasArts

the words just look like they are floating and not on the actual ball... need to warp them a bit into all those little grooves if you want it to be believable goodluck.

avatar vapaholic
vapaholic says:

you should use a displacement map on the lettering.

avatar Tuckinator

for me, the text ruined the image it really needs more work love the image though

author says:

i agree...the type sucks...i dont have much experience with type so i'll count this as a clunker

author says:

animmax tell me were to put the shadow i i will but it

avatar BlueSparkle

Maybe instead of "real" shadows you could add some type of boosters, like jetplanes have. Know what I mean? Now it looks like they have special powers keeping them afloat... Good luck!

avatar Tuckinator

coolness

avatar animmax
animmax says:

Nice - but i think you might need to add some shadow and change the highlights to make it look like its actually on the table. Your going to have trouble with the blur of the leaves too.. GL.

the light falling on the flower is coming from the wrong direction? or whether the shadow is going the wrong way. haha, well good idea, GL anyway.

avatar philister
philister says:

cool idea to use the source as a pot, but it would help if the saturation of the different sources was matched a little better. Also, a little bit of shadow at the base of the pot would help it to not look like it's floating on the table. Good luck!
