My experiment trying to make the realistic water splash. I'll explain in the SBS.
Thanks to germanstock and germanstock for the stocks of the cherries and the water surface.
I added some more effect (other than what I mention in the SBS: distort the bottom part of the cherries, lens blur the top and the bottom water areas, add vignette effect. Now I'm quite satisfied with the result :D (5 years and 3299 days ago)

I don't see why everyone is confused about the selections being visible. I understand the joke quite well and I digg it. Using the toolbar icons as "toppings" is a nice touch, and the backdrop is very appropriate. I'd do something about the "Adobe Photoshop" text in the cone, though (it's too hard to read and I almost missed it). Good luck!

A very simple ad for the fictional drink, Cherry Poppers.
Very brief explanation of execution:
Extracted each red ball separately using a round brush and set to a mask. Adjusted levels / hue / saturation.
Created Foil tops with a gray overlay layer and a gradient layer.
Extracted cherry image as well as straw image.
Adjusted composition.
Removed specular highlights on the balls and created new highlights on balls and straw to match those of the cherries. Used Clone Stamp and Spot Healing Brush for removal.
Duplicated the stem from cherry and used Warp tool to mod it onto the straw.
Created a title Smart Object that was mapped onto the balls using the Warp tool.
Duplicate / Scale / Mask layers of balls and cherries to create light reflections off each other.
Added water drops and main shadows.
Final touches to highlights, shadows, hue.
Added text, adjusted positioning.
