It's a good blend. Use the Ctrl J overlay, lower oppacity trick to enhace it, or just play on curves.

I used half the cake, duplicated and flipped it to make a plain white 3 tier. Cut out the flower & hover fly for the cake topping. I also used the hover fly itself for decorations, and cut out the flower sugar paste flower from one of the cupcakes.
Placed all the decorations with shadows, merged them together, desaturated them and added a sepia tint.

I like the colors and the chaotic splashes which makes this as a whole, but in HighRes the cake and some of the paint are too roughly masked imo. You'd gain a lot if you spend a little more time on it. At first I wanted to mention the 2 noses too, but I see now that's on purpose . Nice image for the rest. Good luck!
