I did not use any other resources here aside from the given image above.. I started making the planets using the marquee tool.. fill it with colors.. make a new layer for the effects using the black and white gradients.. changing layer styles to overlay and so on... making clouds and other effects using different kind of filters like gaussian blur and difference clouds... applying some shadows.. i use the original image for the background.. use the clone stamp tool to remove the sign and make clouds filters... lighting effects is same as what i did in the planets... I make a new layer... fill it with black and white gradient.. change the layer style to overlay... and so on...

A little piece of my childhood died making this, 9 just seemed like a perfect number. Now the rhyme is "My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming". Naming what?

The idea I had was this to be a high school scientific resource from the 50s/60s, now updated to remove Pluto

Anyway, made with copying, resizing, burning, bluring, cloning. The usual suspects, nothing fancy.

Edit: I cleaned it up a little and removed the text as I felt the Pluto message to be stronger this way.

Just used the clone source tool and the distort filter to create the planets. Gave finishing touches with brushes. The yellow ring was done completely with brushes again. Finally added some stars. hope i've done some good work.
