From August 1990 til March 1991 - US Troops were called into War - First it was Desert Shield then in January 1991 it became Desert Storm. These two soldiers proudly served in the 24th ID out of Fort Stewart, Ga. (188 days ago)

These two soldiers knew they were in a war. They were smiling at the cameras for their families back home. This was BEFORE the internet.. when letters were still sent out in regular mail and they didn't know when the photo would get home, but at least their families would know that at the time the photo was taken, that they were ok..
