Here is a link to a tutorial that instructs how to do it, I had learned this technique quite a while ago and had to look really hard for a link to a tutorial like it but here it is. http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tutorials-effects/how-to-create-a-flaming-photo-manipulation/
