thanks to xx Stacey xx @ dA for the model stock, and flashtucka@dA for brushes.

my first attempt at this. there aren't too many tutorials out there to teach how to do this effect. seems they all repeat themselves. So i just mixed a few things from each of the tuts and added my own spin to them.

i do realize my model stock is one widely used, but i liked the "frozen" look to her face.

**UPDATED**
changed the icicles to form more to the face. took the ice effects off of the nose and lips as it didn't conform to what i was wanting. Might change it again yet... :P not quite satisfied still.

Interesting, but the icicles are made to different scales, and the ones beneath the eyes would curve to the proportions of the face. Reply »

my original thoughts on this contest was ice man from the marvel comics...however, i can't seem to find any tutorial that even comes close to doing what i want to do with my entries.
i have been reworking this piece a bit, and will upload the edited version as soon as i have it done..likely tomorrow morning, as i'm at work and can't do much with it here.
