Actually, I didn't desaturate it at all...I actually INCREASED the yellows and cyans.

It's a jungle, not the middle of a desert...

My nontechnical reaction is "blah." In your source pic, the cabin and its immediate environment are brighter/more-attention-grabbing (have a higher dynamic range) than anything in this image. Everything here is uniformly dark with no brighter portion to capture the viewer's attention. Reply »
