Its a very good Idea.. Might want to burn the edge where the puppy meets the fur slightly.. will give it some depth (polish and smooth the edges as well.. GOOD LUCK.. and make sure to save your work between steps.. I ALWAYS FORGET too and have to start all over .. good luck author.. there's a lot of work here (Also try to clone out too many repeats of pattern, unless that is your goal..

make the puppy carpet different colour , and drop shadow from the puppy

perhaps add some shadows of the puppy on the furry bed to make it look more interactive with it!

Agree with CMYK, size is off on squirrel to grass. You could expand the grass background and then enlarge the squirrel or shrink the grass to make them fit better. Good luck.
