V-Day Rose in a glass vase - created by Govindrathod
I had taken this snap on the valentine day when i kept a red rose in a glass full of water and crystal stones in it. A homemade vase. It was also used on the dinner table. :) (5 years and 2969 days ago)

You have a great subject here, but if you want to enter competitions, you need to take more care.
1. Try using a plain background
2. crop the dark edge at the bottom
3. the image looks soft, needs more light to lower the ISO, it's very noisy.
An ordinary table lamp could have provided the light, and a tripod is a great help.
