good one for the contest, how did you get all the umbrellas together

author says:

With great difficulty. First I bought 10 yellow ones, then 6 red ones. Then I bought wire with light bulbs and 60 watt bulbs and wired them to the inside of each umbrella. Then I got my husband to wire them together, but they kept falling apart, so I called 8 of my neighbors to help. They each wanted 50 dollars for the work entailed so I told them to go and fly a kite. My neighbors do not work for no money, they are not altruistic, like some people on this planet. They then went to the store to purchase kites but billed me for their kites. Soon they were by the river flying kites and a crowd of children gathered around them. In the meantime, my husband went to the chicken rotisserie and bought himself a dozen chicken feet to eat. The umbrellas were tossing and turning and really wished they were all kites. You could say they were jealous of the kites , that they were not tied down but free to fly in the breeze. Well, then my husband finished eating his chicken feet and was still hungry, so opted out for some pork brains wrapped in a banana leaf. In the meantime, I was trying to figure out which ISO to use as it was dark and I didn't want my masterpiece to become grainy. I decided on using my tripod but one of the neighbours took it to use on the kites. I don't understand why tripods are necessary for kite flying, do you? The children who got fed up with the kites came over and each child held onto an umbrella and my husband (minus pork brains) plugged in the lights and VOILA the picture was taken. Easy peazy.....the short answer is of course these umbrellas were already set up like this during a festival in this country which I can't say because I would give myself away.

Thanks for making me laugh out loud at breakfast time! I wonder who you are, author, but you certainly can write a Good Story

I believed every word until the "Easy peazy...."

I was devastated and had to console myself by watching a TV rerun of "The Day Mars Invaded Earth" or was it vice versa.....

This is almost to painfull to view, not sure I could have taken this as would have been to upset, would have been even better I think in b/w.
My only reservation for this photo is it seems to demeening to enter it for a light hearted contest[maybe I,m wrong to feel that way,but that's how I feel]that aside it is a powerfull image.

author says:

This is food for thought. I don't know what the lyrics are to that song but the title of please please please seems to fit her begging. Yes, this photo is heartjerking, I agree with your comments and thank you for them.
