I know this is not going to score high, but I wanted to share this photo because it raises the question of our safety. The police here were trying to arrest a man who was hiding in a motel room. They were like this (and more out of the picture holding all types of guns, pointing them at the door where the man was at) for more then 20 min. In the mean time there were people walking by, and I wonder why that area was not blocked off. If the man started shooting, the people were only 100 feet away. I know things happen fast sometimes, but doesn't our safety rank in the top of the list. Anyone knows how that works? (5 years and 2493 days ago)

Our safety is supposed to rank first. This is a potentially dangerous situation and that person walking with bags and all seems complacent about what can and does happen.
Police should have the area sealed and even from where you took the shot is risky.

That's what I thought, our safety should come first. And I would understand if it all happened really fast, but they had this stand off for at least 20 min. By that time that should have at least blocked of the side walk. And thanks, I was nervous, but too curious not to take a few shots of my own, no pun intended, lol.
