Porta Pia - created by patty
Porta Pia is a gate in the Aurelian Walls of Rome, Italy.
It was through an artillery-opened breach in the wall a dozen metres to the west of the gate - known as the "Porta Pia breach" - that on September 20, 1870 Bersaglieri soldiers entered Rome and completed the unification of Italy. (5 years and 2764 days ago)

To reduce the effect of distortion made by the angle of shot, you can use Perspective Crop.
Select crop, drag selection on the photo, and a little menu bar will appear above: Shield color, opacity and the perspective box. Check the box and drag the sides of the crop selection so that they follow the horizontal lines on your picture that should be parallel. Once you press enter the image will be distorted so that it nullifies the unwanted perspective.

Holy cow! Are those stone or carved wood made to look like stone? Either way, very cool!
I am certain the door is not made of stone; I'd say it is made of wood but not sure whether is some kind of metal. It has never crossed my mind what material it is made of but now I have to ask!
