Taken with a Kodak Point and shoot 3 MP camera set to manual in macro mode using window light and a tripod on a white background, was doing this to decide if I wanted to buy a DSLR and the rest was history... (5 years and 3268 days ago)

Thank you Jawshoewhah...but occasionally the camera matters, this was about the limit of that camera and really required a bit of trial and error to get it right. With the current equipment, this would have taken one or two shots...but you're correct that even the best equipment is useless unless you have basic skills...thanks again my friend
