Very cool statue... some great titles in there. But... these aren't books. They are facsimiles of books
Kyricom, contest guidelines do not specify they have to be real books. You argument didn't work with the skin affliction contest and it's not going to work here. Besides, if you look at the tie contest:

It's the EXACT same situation.
It says to shoot your best shot "of books." Can't get much more explicit than that.
plus, the suggestor even said that only one book would be considered off theme... you'd think ZERO books would be even more off theme. 
Once again, contest DOES NOT specify REAL books.
The theme says no shots from libraries and that all else is 'fair game'. IMO that makes this on theme.
