Experts feel the best Pizza Peel is wooden because it doesn't conduct heat. I really don't care as long as it has extra cheese and pepperoni. (5 years and 2407 days ago)

my goodness! pizza is baked in a wood fire, high temperature, tin metal

author says:

I agree. This is for the contest. However we have a local pizzeria that employs a person just to keep the brick oven fires alive all through the night rather than restart them evey day. Those ovens produce the most amazing pizza's. For effect in the open restaurant, they use wood peels or metal ones that look like wood.

Nice family outing for these geese and goslings.
The high resolution image seems a bit soft and pixelated. Could this be a result of cropping a much smaller portion of a larger original image? Perhaps your subject filled less than 50 of the frame?
I'd adjust the white balance, as there are no true whites in the scene. It looks like the the contrast was decreased which might explain the gray-scale cast to the image or maybe an auto adjustment which couldn't account for the true white on the heads of the older geese. If you are using Photoshop, try from the Menu: IMAGE > IMAGE ADJUSTMEN

avatar Cache Slinger

... ran out of space... LOL.
Try: IMAGE > ADJUSTMENT > LEVELS, then from the user interface box, first use the WHITE POINT SAMPLE (eyedropper) and click it in the middle of the brightest white spot on one of the elder geese. Next select the BLACK POINT SAMPLE (eyedropper), and single click in the darkest part of the black neck. You'll notice a dramatic difference to the entire image in that it will look more like a Black and White photo than a under contrasted greyish one. Apart from that, I like the scene, nice capture.

The Galah are monomorphic. Both male and female look the same in feather colouring. Although if you look closely at their eyes you are able to determine their sex. Males have black eye colour while females have a pinkish deep red eye colour (5 years and 2663 days ago)
